Aahhhh!!!
Look! It's a face! It may not be my face but its a face none the less. A very good face when it comes to faces if I do say so myself.
Trying to chalk everything well stressed me out a ton. Sometimes the parts I didn't want to smear, smeared, and I ended up having trouble fixing them. There really wasn't any idea behind this I just wanted it to look like a person. I HATE how this turned out, I didn't know what I was doing and the grid didn't help much at all so it turned out like this. The only good thing about this in my eyes is that it looks like a person. I wish I could have made it look more like myself. I look forward to burning it.

Look its an eye! I thought it would be cool if the iris was my landscape and I was right. I drew a picture of the evening sky because dark colors are fun to draw with. I did have a hard time with the eyelashes because they are kinda weird but I like how this turned out. If I could go back and change something it would be the shape of the eye, some eye shapes would definitely look better with the landscapes.
Brendon Urie, something beautoful for once
Look its a person. There was this FOB album that I got my inspiration from called Lake Effect Kid. I think I used color well here and I am genuinely proud of how this turned out and I would change NOTHING. If i did go back I'd probably just finish that rectangle there.
I'm back at it again with the eyes. This time it was an assignment though. I git rwally good at drawing eyes because everyone says that tje sec9nd one looks like a photo. If i could change anything i qould redo the water color eyes on watercolor paper just tp make ot more visualy apppealing. I would also redo the pencil eyes a little by adding more detail around the eyelid area. Thia was a nice attempt at expressing emotion in my drawings, which was a goal I had for this semester.
I don't really know what I intended this to be because it changed as I started painting and finalising, as all things do. It's really pretty and I didnt recieve any annoying feedback so I feel good about how this turned out. THAT LEAF THOUGH!! The one in the top left, it's too brown for the rest of the art so if I could go back and brighten it up. I like that you can feel the dirwctiin the piece flows in.
Tempera Batik
1-With the art we're doing only using one layer of paint would ruin the art, since it will all wash off when we remove the ink.
2-Its stressful but necessary for the art to look extra cool. Like dong something risky in real life.
3-Putting the black paint on wasn't easy because you were scared the art underneath wouldn't recover, washing it out however, will damage what you did beyond repair if you mess up so its twice as stressful as putting it on. Like doing something risky, knowing it'll be worth while if it goes right, but only being afraid of what could go wrong.
AN artist who did tempera batik is called Kelli Kohn. There this one of a pink lady that I find really pretty despite how much I hate pink. I can't pull up the photo because of the district wifi.

This here, is cool. I like that its calm and easy on the eyes (and the fact that it isn't covered in black ink is reassuring.)

This here is very, violent. The ink intensified all the colors negatively and now they're all super painful. Think of it when it snows violently vs when it snows lightly. I prefer light snow over crazy snow because all though they're both beautiful, one won't let me freeze to death. I'm just saying that the black ink turned this piece into something more dangerous than I intended it to be, and that's super cool. Yet super scary. I do like how the colors blend better when they are less vivid.

Print Making
When I was choosing a subject for my print, wanted to use Tyler Joseph because if you "know" him, he has an untouchable aura that inspires.... stuff. I actually started scooping the linoleum of Tyler for a couple days until I found a picture of Joshua Dun, the drummer in Twenty One Pilots. It was from the blurryface photo shoot which gave both Tyler and Josh a completely different aura than what they are normally surrounded by. Josh felt mysterious, and scared, and dangerous, and I fell in love with the concept. I did lots of print hoping to perfect just one (I didn't though.) I experimented with color and different backdrops (which all got cut out by the way,) I wanted the print to carry the same feeling as blurryface. These prints look cool, no doubt the best out of the bunch I made, but overall I'm unhappy that I couldn't capture the unique essence of the fear and anticipation josh seems to feel. The colors doesn't just don't fit.
This is my project. I like the colors but I messed up the face so I'm a little sad. I wanted to have the blue express melancholy and the orangish to represent the opposite. Plying with colors and stuff was difficult and I kind of wish I went in with even a smaller amount of experience. Next time, if there ever is one, Id avoid the blue in the face and use regular skin tones.
